Public Transit Services
New York City buses provide service between LaGuardia and Manhattan and Queens with connections to New York City subways for destinations beyond.
For service beween LaGuardia and western Queens or Midtown Manhattan, take the Q70 Limited or Q47 buses. Connections to the E, F, M, R and 7 trains on the New York City subway are available at Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street. For service to Astoria, Queens, use the M60 bus and transfer to the N or Q subway trains at Hoyt Avenue/31st Street.
The bus fare is $2.75 (MetroCard or exact change required), except $3.00 whenever a single-ride ticket is purchased. MetroCard vending machines are available at most terminals within the airport. For passengers using the MetroCard, free transfers are available between buses and subways.

Taxi and van service is also available at LaGuardia. Taxi service is available in front of all terminals. Ground transportation information counters, located on the lower baggage claim level of all terminals, provide information and reservations for buses, shared-ride vans and private cars or limousines. You can call 1 (800)-AIR-RIDE for information on authorized transportation services.
As always, disregard offers of transportation from solicitors in the terminal. Be sure your transportation is safe and legitimate at ground transportation information counters, bus stops and taxi dispatchers. Also, please ignore non-uniformed persons offering to assist with baggage and seek out uniformed porters or airline employees for baggage assistance.
- There is a $1.00 peak-time surcharge for trips from 4 PM to 8PM on weekdays.
- There is a $.50 surcharge for trips from 8PM to 6AM daily. There is also a NY State tax of 50 cents added to trips within New York, but not for trips to NJ.
- One fare pays for all passengers to one destination.
- Four passengers (five in minivans) is the limit for New York City cabs.
- Meter must read $3.00 at the start of the trip.
- Please take your receipt.
