Ed Plotkin will give an overview of his planned 2022 presentation that provides some unique insight on who George A. Fox was and how he influenced our industry. Ed will also discuss some of the major advancements in the tunneling industry that have occurred over the past 20 years.

The tunneling market in the United States is strong with a number of large projects in the construction or planning phases across the country. This presentation will focus on the major ongoing tunneling work, providing an overview of the current state of progress, summary of the scope of work, schedule and prevailing construction methods. Additionally, the presentation will cover some of the major works that are in the planning stages or early in the startup phase. Jim will also look at what is driving the tunneling industry, as well as recent trends, including financing and workforce issues.
